Fazley RSN-30 Round-Neck Resonator Guitar

This could be a good guitar. Its faults are enough for me not to want to keep it. If you know how to get the best out of it, then I think you'd be happy with its sound.

Build is good. Solid and robust all over, except the resonator, the machine heads, and the tailpiece, which give the impression of flimsy cheapness.

The set-up from the factory wasn't good. The action made it unplayable straight from the box. The neck was bowed way too much and needed adjustment. After that, the fret-board was perfect up to the 12th fret, but upwards from there the frets were wrongly sited, and as a consequence, they tuned sharp.

The electrics on this one, when they worked, sounded good. However, the circuitry inside the guitar kept cutting out without warning.

The factory installed strings weren't great, and whilst detuning the top E it broke.

I would recommend this thing highly if these niggles are addressed, or you are prepared for them and can sort them to your satisfaction. It sounds great unplugged and through an amp, and using the slide gave it authority.

For a guitar to arrive without attention to these details is a poor show. QC should be much better. That said, it's potentially a market-buster. I hope Fazley can make good on it- at the moment, it feels like a wasted opportunity.

nice body and neck the frets and fingerboard let it down the frets have been filed and left full of file marks so i had to sort that out and polish fretboard has chips out in places fret ends also need attention on the plus side bone nut and saddle!!

Have just received a b stock of these resonator guitars, and I must say very playable especially though my acoustic amp, yes probably paying a lot more will be necessary for the professional guitarist but this model is great value, I would certainly consider this brand in the future

Bought in the Rotterdam store for a very good price.
Fretboard is very dry, easy fix with a little oil. Tuning stability is good.Nut well cut. Intonation at the 12 fret is sharp on all strings. Fret ends are good-I can just feel one sharp edge on the 14th fret.
Finish is excellent-I can see a tiny amount of overspray on the binding around the neck joint. Action is higher than an electric guitar.
Unplugged, it is loud with the resonator thump.Plugged in it sounds like a very clean electric guitar. I run mine through a compressor. EQ controls are effective and the pickup is loud. You do need to manage output as a hollow,single coil guitar will feed back (and this does).

D'accord, cette guitare n'est pas chère. Ce n'est pas une raison pour tirer dessus à boulets rouges. Pour le prix je suis bluffé. Elle est juste, le manche est droit, le son en électro-acoustique plus que correct. (Cherchez Saturix le gaulois puis mon dernier titre : Black rain sur soundcloud et vous entendrez la bête en situation au bottle neck, avec bias fx 2 comme effets...)

Ik heb deze gekocht als extraatje bij mijn andere akoestische gitaren. Voor die prijs krijg je een leuk klinkende en spelende gitaar! Je moet er wel een paar scherpe randjes bijnemen: het metalen deksel op klankkast en de schroefjes hebben zeer scherpe braampjes. Als je een beetje handig bent is dat wel snel opgelost… maar toch heb je een leuke gitaar voor heel weinig geld!

Voor de prijs een prima gitaar. klinkt goed. Misschien zelfs iets beter dan ik had verwacht voor deze prijs, met de juiste tuning krijg je echt wel een swampie kleur uit deze gitaar.

Lot of work to make it playable. Guess you get what you pay for.

OK gitaar. Afwerking was niet helemaal af (ruwe plekjes op de nek, uitstekende schroefjes op het metaalwerk), maar staat de speelbaarheid niet in de weg. Geinig geluid, maar is niet bijzonder luid. De brug heeft geen inkepingen voor de snaren, waardoor bij dunnere snaren ze over de brug willen glijden bij fingerpicking, wat een irritant gepiep veroorzaakt. Overall, redelijk voor de prijs, maar vergt wat inzet van de koper. Speelt verder lekker.

Voor de prijs een prima gitaar. De afwerking lijkt soms een beetje slordig, maar de gitaar speelt prima, en klinkt prima. Misschien zelfs iets beter dan ik had verwacht voor deze prijs
